Hardware Version: V6
Firmware Version: 1.1.0 20200416

After updating firmware the Tether app never connects to the router. The message is always displayed regardless of you distance to the device. 

 

"Your connection to the device is unstable. Please move closer"

 

I've done a factory reset to fix the problem but the router seems to auto update the firmafter a few days and the problem reappears.

When you tried to login to the router on the Tether app, it just reports back with the error message? Ensure the Tether app version is also the latest. You can also try with another phone with a different OS.

 

Are you login to the router from the local network or from an outside network? Ensure your phone is connected to the A9's wireless successfully, try to move closer to the router.

 

Are you able to login to the router web management page via a web browser with the same username and password?

 

Try to reset the A9 one more time, then reconfigure it from scratch to confirm.
