Hello everyone,
We understand you have been waiting for the Onemesh firmware for Archer AX11000 for long, here comes with the beta version. You can manually update your router firmware if you would like to implement the Onemesh with some existing range extenders.
This is the download link:
https://static.tp-link.com/beta/2021/202104/20210416/ax11000v1-up-ver1-2-0-P8[20210415-rel78917]_beta_2021-04-16_10.34.39.zip (No need to install this beta version anymore)
Refer to this guide to add the existing extender to the Onemesh network:
https://www.tp-link.com/support/faq/2509/
We hope you could help provide some details about the network layout, which will help us to understand your usage better:
1. What is the model number of the range extender that you want to add to the AX11000 Onemesh network? How many extenders?
2. How large of the house, how are the AX11000 and the range extenders located, are all on the same floor, or on different floors?
3. How about the Onemesh network performance? Is it as good as expected?
Do let us know how it goes. Have a nice day.

Hello,
I have tested the beta firmware from the beginning and it seems to be pretty stabile (not tested in OneMesh - it's on the list AX605X - hope verry soon).
I have noticed that Homecare AntiVirus is not working (or not show the Hystory detection anymore). Before beta firmware, i have entered weekly on Homecare AntiVirus History and there always are some websites, but now, on the beta formare, I din't see any website (I tried intentionaly to access some malicious websites - and still nothing)
Thank you!

The Beta testing is for OneMesh only it doesn't refer to system improvements for the AX11000 other than that.
The stability will remain the same as before where as if you were testing OneMesh with either the RE505X or RE605X you'd find the OneMesh Beta test is very unstable with 2.4ghz drop outs, slow network speeds and issues with more than 1 additional node.
@Kevin_Z it seems that the engineers have gone cold on us, is the beta still being worked on?
Cheers
Scott

Hello @Scott79
Great to hear from you.
In the meantime, I purchased two RE550 range extenders (yes, the AC model) to test in OneMesh, as I had a strong feeling that the Tether problems and other issues with the RE505Xs were due to them struggling to maintain a stable connection with the AX11000; even though they were no more than 6 - 8 metres distant from the router and their LEDs were always blue, indicating a stable connection exactly.
And I must say that now, after a couple of days of testing, I think that this was indeed the case.
The RE505X has exceptionally weak range as an extender, so much so that I had to set it up with maximum wi-fi coverage, otherwise the link rate and speeds of connected devices would drop.
However, with the RE550s I have no such problem – their signal is so strong that it is enough if I set minimum wi-fi coverage, there are no link rate or speed drops at all, and – most significantly – Tether is working without any issues no matter which settings I have in the router.
Cheers
Maciej
PS Do I understand correctly that your config is acting up, or is everything still ok?
PS2 I'm testing with the firmware which @Gaffer shared in post no. 127.

Just a quick update from me in the 2 or so weeks since my last one, everything still remains stable with no connections dropped and my nest cameras connecting well....so much so I'm going to uninstall the AweSun software from the spare win laptop (I can always reinstall it if I need to chat with them again).
In hindsight I suspect me fiddling with adding WPA3 mode and the such may have destabilised the network because I've had zero issues on WPA/WPA2 mode. Everything connects, I can use WPS, no dead spots (my RE605Xs are both on maximum power).

May I know the current firmware version of your AX11000 is 1.2.0 Build 20210415 rel.78917?
Do you mean there is no other range extenders in the AX11000 network? We will confirm this, then update.

Hi, I thought they are actively working on this, you can email them to confirm if there is an update for your case.

An example of what we're dealing with.
2.4ghz on Onemesh is absolutely useless and unbearably unstable.
Please guys can we get some progress on this Im looking at the extender which is only 4 metres away with router download speed of 300Mbps im getting a terrible link.
The link speed from the router to the extender is 144.4Mbps even if I got 100Mbps download I'd be happy but 10Mbps at a push that is incredibly slow is painful.
I've invested over £550 in TP-Link Products and it just doesn't work!

Is this extender the RE300 or RE505X? I'm lost. It seems there are multiple extenders in the same Onemesh network, you need to be sure which one you are troubleshooting, as the misunderstanding may drive us far away from the actual issue you are experiencing. Please check the issue with the support engineers directly via email, as they have checked the issue with a remote session, they would understand better.
