I have an AC750 model TL-WR902AC (Travel Router) which I will need, from time to time, to use as a LAN, no internet connection required or necessary (better is there isn't any connection whatsoever). Just need some devices to "see" each other in the same network.

Can anyone answer which "operation mode switch" will be the ideal one for this scenario? Will it matter?

Mine has 3 modes "Share ETH", "Share Hotspot" and "AP/Rng Ext/Client".

Any help will be appreciated. Thanks.

As long as all the devices connected to the WR902AC are in the same IP subnet/LAN, they can "see" each other. Thus you can choose the Standard Wireless Router Mode, which is also called "Share ETH".
