WPA8730 KIT PA8010 compatible with WPA7510 KIT and PA7017
Hi,
I have a system working with WPA7510 V1, PA7010 V1 and 2xPA7017. I exprerience some problems when streaming, online gaming and VC are hapening at the same time.
Added a WPA8730 V1, PA8010P V1 and PA8010P V3 and suddenlly all my VC's are stoped multiplle time during a call.
Can someone help with this?
I was hopeing to achieve better results using the 8 series since they have 2xMIMO but even with just these working I have stops in VC calls.
Regards

@Miguell Good day,
In theory, all the TP-Link powerline devices on sale can work together. In the real network environment, it would be better if we use the powerline devices with same powerline data speed in the same network. If you have 7 series powerline adapters, it is recommended to buy 7 series powerline units as the extenders to get better performance.
If you 'd like to use powerline devices with different data speeds together. Here are some recommendations:
Current Powerline |
Recommendation |
AV600/AV1300 |
AV600, AV1300 |
AV1000/AV2000 |
AV1000, AV2000 |

@Solla-topee Hello,
I will follow your recommendation.
But to improve overall performance of my current 7 series devices shouldn't I be better using the 8630P V2 KIT or 8631P V3 KIT with 8010P V3 to take advantage of the 2XMIMO (this was my first objective to establishes multiple simultaneous connections and better overall performance)?

@Miguell Hi,
Thank you for your reply~
Indeed, 8 series has higher spec compared with 7, normally when different power line devices are in the same powerline, we recommended same series power line adapters to work together for better communication and best performance.
If you'd like to test, you could unplug old powerline and test 8 series performance only and see if signal is getting better.
Btw, may I know do you have multiple rooms which have Wi-Fi dead spots, as simply adding more powerline devices does not always boost its performance for a certain spot which you need better Internet connection. As you mentioned when use the old adapters, there is already some issue when playing games or in VC calls.
Extender powerline unit is paired and communicate with the main adapter, if more adapters are added , more extender will share the total bandwidth from router/ main adapter.
