Can't connect with TD-W8970, maybe a faulty device?

Hello,
I just bought online a brand new TD-W8970 modem/router but I'm in trouble with getting ADSL working.
I set up a PPPoE connection with the settings from my ISP but the ADSL Led on the device is solid OFF and in the Admin section it says DSL Status: Not Connected.
I already tried the following things:
- Checked connections;
- Tried different phone cables and removed any filter;
- Updated to the latest firmware;
- Restored to Default factory settings
Now, I think it'ld probabily be a faulty device. It actually acts as there is no phone cable connected at all.
There is anything I can try before send it back?
