Model: Archer VR2100
Hardware Version:
Firmware Version:

I plan to have Archer VR2100 and RE505X to be linked via oneMesh. Will there be a problem since the modem/router is ac while the extender is ax (wifi 6). If this works, does that mean in certain parts of the house I will get wifi 6 and some parts will be with wifi 5?

@Calebite

No worries, they are compatible with each other.

We generally suggest connect an extender with a higher speed or at least as fast as the router it is connected to. When connecting the RE505X to the VR2100, they will connect at AC speed, which is determined by the VR2100; While the AX clients can communicate at AX speed with the RE505X when they connected to it.
