How to turn off DHCP in TL-WPA8631P
Hello,
I've recently bought a TL-WPA8631P V3 (I'm in Spain)
Since the installation every 3/4 days the DHCP starts without the possibility to stop it.
Only reset can disable the DHCP.
I can see it has started from log file, i.e. :
0 days 00:00:42 DHCPS INFO DHCP server started
on the TP-Link repeater I had before, I could enable and disable the DHCP.
I saw it is a common issue on TP-Link repeater.
I tried to downgrade firmware from the newest to the oldest but the issue is still here. now I'm running firmware 3.0.0 Build 20200927 Rel.61199
Can someone help me please?
Thanks,
AleP

Hi,
Thank you very much for your kind feedback.
I have reported to the senior engineers already for a better solution.
At the same time, have you had to manually set up the static IP address and configure the router’s LAN IP address as the gateway?
Thanks a lot and wait for your reply.

Hello,
I've tried to configure the static IP on the repeater, using the router IP as the default gateway.
But the client connected to the powerline via WI-FI is getting the correct IP (the same that router assign) and the wrong Gateway (the powerline IP)
for example:
Router's IP 192.168.0.1
Powerline:
IP 192.168.0.100 (static)
Default Gateway 192.168.0.1
Device:
IP 192.168.0.101
Default Gateway 192.168.0.100
And the device cannot reach internet.

Hello all,
same issue here as many devices in the past. It would help to be able to turn off DHCP server on these devices.
I ve read people installing custom firmware to do so.
Please advise.
Kind regards,
Niko
