RE650 Max Concurrent Users Per Channel under new Firmware
Hello,
I updated my RE650 to the new firmware 20201112 and it now appears that my 2.4 channel is limited to 16 connections?! Can someone confirm this? I bought the RE650 to move to 32 connections per channel.

Hi, thanks for your feedback.
Before the firmware upgrade, are you able to connect more than 16 devices to the 2.4ghz?
And would there be any error message when the 17th device failed to connect the 2.4ghz?
Are all the 16 devices smart IOT devices?
By the way, is there any limitation on the 5ghz ?
Thank you very much and wait for your reply.

I must admit that only briefly had the unit under the old firmware. I updated almost immediately. For the brief time I was on the very old firmware I had 32 devices on the RE650.
I have a number of smart device on 2.4ghz and very few on the 5ghz. My configuration is such that both 2.4 and 5ghz bands use the same name and password as their corresponding bands on my main router (asus). The RE650 is connected via cat5 and acts as an access point.
If it is possible I am willing to revert back to an older firmware and test connections limits.
I think the old firmware on my device was a 2018 version? I am not sure.
Thanks for any feedback I really want to get this working with 32 connections per band.

Hi, thanks for your feedback.
Were you able to reproduce the same issue every time or were there always be 14 online clients while on the web UI, there were 29 for 2.4ghz, 8 for 5ghz?
By the way, could you please also confirm that there are 29 2.4ghz devices and 8 5ghz devices are connected to the RE650?
And we would like to forward your case to the senior engineers as well and please have a check of your message box.
Thank you very much and wait for your reply.
