Model: Archer AX73
Hardware Version: V1
Firmware Version: 1.0.1 Build 20200907 rel.76867

Hi

I bought Archer A7 at 2020 July and I bought Archer AX73 at the last week.

I would to create One Mesh network, with the tp link built in method, but I cant saw how.

Our family house has 3 floors. The main router are AX73 and is this on middle floor.

I would put Archer A7 to the downstairs. I tried to connect the AX73 with WDS function.

When connected to router I see A7 in AX73 OneMesh device configurator.

There is an add button, but when I click on it show error message: "Operation failed"

After a few unsuccessful attempts, I downloaded the official Tether app.

I can see the A7 in this too, but I can't connect it the same way. (I attached picture of this)

Any suggestion for solution?

@Dauson

I think OneMesh has not been designed to work this way.

Check out the information on this page:

https://www.tp-link.com/en/onemesh/

For your convenience here the most important part from the Q&A:

Q3: How do I set up a OneMesh™ network for different types of devices?

A3: You can use a OneMesh™ Wireless Router or Modem Router with several sets of Range Extenders or Powerline Adapters to create a OneMesh™ network. Be aware, you cannot create a OneMesh™ network between two routers.

@woozle

Thanks, but it doesn't make sense.

Given two excellent products that support OneMesh technology and can't be connected?

I think this could be done smoothly as there are no technical hurdles.

I understand the business model, but somehow there is only a solution to it.

It's possible with two ARCHER AX73

First one mesh enabled for both. Secondly, WPS at the same time for both for the first configuration : IT WORKS !
