You could check the hardware version on the back label of the TL-WA850RE;
And would there be any error message when the laptop failed to connect?
By the way, what are the model number and operating system of the computer？
Are you able to connect to the main router’s wireless network on this computer?
And Did you set up the static IP address on the computer before?
