i should also specify.

the devices having these issue is the PC and laptop.  they are wired with cat7 type.   i dont have any devices connected through wifi,  (now i do with my celphone)  both desktop of the laptop and PC says im connected to the internet and the icon says wired conected.  but when i go on any webpage. it says im not online and need to connect.

also,  i dont even need to do a reset of the router,   just unpluging and repluging the ethernet cables  automaticly fixes it.

i also have an ip phone connected to it ( working from home )  and the ip phone has no issue at all, it still says connected  while the other  devices dont work.

what else comes to mind..   system log shows the issue hapening always in the middle of the night while i sleep,  and it never happens during the day

@AlinBallin

It is better to keep you thread separate from the one you posted in. It's for a different device type and probably different issue.

From what you've wrote I was left with the impression that you have that issue only with wired devices (PC, laptop) connected to your AX20.

Connecting these with Cat7 cables to AX20 is an overkill. If you need just to re-plug the cables to fix the issue, try using different (Cat5e or Cat6 at most) cables.

If the issue persists then change the ports where these wired clients are connected on the AX20. For ex. if they were on LAN1&2, try connecting them on LAN3&4 and see if that resolves the issue.

If they are not, set both of these to receive their IP address dynamically - from AX20's DHCP server.

@Ivaylo

ok thanks,

never had any issues using cat7 before  only reason i use cat7 is because the modem >< router distance is about 50 feet.   modem is in the basement, and my router is on the 2nd floor.  no choice for this setup,  after checking it out,  my laptop actually has a cat5e after double checking,   but the wire between the modem / router is cat7. im stll unsure why cat7 would be causing the problem,  i used an outdated router with no issue -.- now an ax1800 - ax20 woudnt handle it?

ill try your suggestion of changing the lan port if my problem persists tomorow morning  (as it only happens during the night  1am ~ 4am )

If they are not, set both of these to receive their IP address dynamically - from AX20's DHCP server

i have no idea what that means, i am no computer savvy

It's worth checking connection quality with your ISP. Sometimes after upgrading internet service there are problems handling higher speeds.

I am not saying that using Cat7 cables would be a problem, but pointing directions for troubleshooting the issue. By the way Cat5e/Cat6 cables can handle distances about 300 feet.

So only the cable between your modem and the router is 50 feet long Cat7 ?

Your desktop and laptop are both connected with Cat5e to the router and after re-plugging their cables every morning they have internet access ?

Do you have access to your modem, are you able to check its logs as well ? If not ask the ISP to do that for you.

Can you provide this screenshot when the issue occurs :

You can also observe the Link duration (network adapter uptime) of your wired clients (desktop and laptop) when the issue occurs following that guide.

@Ivaylo

hey there,   i havent done any of your suggestiosn yet as i wanted to try what the enginners told me:

In order to check whether the communication between your modem and the router is normal, when this issue occurs again, could you please log in to the router's web interface(tplinkwifi.net), then go to "Advanced" > "Network" > "Internet", and check the IP address on that page?

Here are some suggestions for you:

1. Please log in to the web interface of the router(tplinkwifi.net), then go to "Advanced" > "Network" > "Internet" > a small "Advanced Settings" or "Advanced" below the "Release" > change the "Primary DNS" to "8.8.8.8" > change the "Secondary DNS" to "8.8.4.4".

2. Could you please try to clone your PC's MAC address to the AX20?

Here is an introduction on how to configure MAC Address Clone: https://www.tp-link.com/us/support/faq/2264/

so after i changed the primary dns and seconday dns and cloned the pc mac.    this morning i woke up and....

NO ISSUES DETECTED !!   router internet LED remained green (used to go orange every monring) interrnet is working fine.

unless its a coincidence i think issue is fixed but ill wait a few more days just in came to confirm
i still not sure why changing the dns 1 and 2 and cloning max adress would opf fixed issue if any1 can enlighten me (tried google but i dont understand ^^)

Very well, if that was the issue then you have had a problem with your ISP provided DNS servers which is already resolved.

@Ivaylo

what do you mean by "my internet service provider provided DNS server which is already resolved"

is already resolved  as in?  outdated dns servers?  broken dns server?   how i read it is:    is already resolded as in it fixed by itself?

not sure i understand

I've meant, that your problem has been resolved by the engineers, changing your router's DNS settings.
