Model: Archer AX50
Hardware Version: V1
Firmware Version:

I have searched for this same issue on this site, but can not find any links so i have started a new thread.

I have an Occulus Quest 2 and a wifi 6 compatible PC - but I can not get either device to connect to the router at any speed greater than 1200mbps, but for wifi6 devices it is advertised as 2100mbps - any ideas?

It runs great at 1200mbps, but why cant I see the higher speed connection, probably because I am missing something simple, but I cant see what it is?

Any help would be appreciated?

Thanks,

Andy

@Andy9000

Oculus Quest 2 uses a Wi-Fi 6 chip from Qualcomm named "FastConnect 6800" that apparently can only do 1200 Mbps on the 5 GHz band.

The chipset's advertised "Peak Speed" of 1.774 Gbps is just a summation of the maximum speed of the 2.4 GHz band (574 Mbps) and the maximum speed of the 5 GHz band (1200 Mbps).

As for the Wi-Fi 6 compatible PC, can you let us know the exact model name of the Wi-Fi adapter built into your PC?

Thanks for answering my question, that's clear now. PC wise I am using a wired connection now, so no issues there either. Thanks
