M9 Plus will not connect to Xfinity XBT7 Gateway in Bridge Mode
Have done a lot of searching on this and cannot find a fix after rebooting everything multiple times. I put the XBT7 in Bridge mode and connected my Main Deco to the XBT7 via Cat5 to XBT7 port 1. The Deco stays red and will not connect.
From what I have read I am supposed to be able to connect just fine to the XFI Gateway in bridge mode? If I disable bridge mode on the XFI gateway and just turn off the WiFi the Deco connects just fine. I am confused why Bridge mode will not work.

I was able to clone the MAC address into the Deco which allowed it to finally connect. By doing so my internet speed is awful dropping to 20 Mbps.

Anyone had the same issue and fixed it?

Hi,
What is the required internet connection type of your internet service provider since from the detailed you have provided, it is not dynamic IP, more like PPPoE with username and password;
And when the Xfinity XBT7 Gateway in Bridge Mode, if you connect a computer to the modem, are you able to get internet service?
Thanks a lot and wait for your reply.

@TP-Link It is user name/password to connect.
When in bridge mode the cable modem connected to the PC does provide internet access to the PC just fine.
