M9 Plus Disc placement
Please excuse what some might take as stupid question but I am 88 and have little i/t knowledge.
I have just installed Deco M9 Plus Mesh system to my AC4000 router. Main disc is about 3 ft from floor and 4 ft same level from router.
2nd disc is approx 15 ft from main disc at floor level (due to main power wiring) and adjacent to open door to main disc area. Purpose was to increase wi fi connection on my pc .
It is OK to leave at floor level...... main purpose was to increase wi fi connection to my desktop PC which has been successful.

Hey
Ideally these should be place on desks / surfaces roughly 1m or higher. Being on the floor you will lose some signal strength (roughly -9Db)
However if you have this on the floor and it the signal is good enough for you requirements, then there really isn't any problem with doing this

Many thanks for your advice. Not possible to go the whole way on your recommendations but will certainly try some adjustment to improve the location of the 2nd Disc.

If you don't want someone to accidentally step on Deco M9 laying on the floor, there is an option to wall mount it. Search for "Wall mount holder for TP-Link Deco M9 Plus" on Amazon.
There are two types:
1) Can be plugged to the electric outlet and does not require drilling holes in the wall
2) Attached to the wall with screws
Read product description carefully: there are similarly looking holders for Deco M5, but M9 Plus won't fit in those.
I have my Satellite Deco M9 Plus mounted to the wall that way in the narrow corridor of the second floor of my house.

Moved the discs up, Wi Fi connection to PC in study now excellent. Originally Download speed was around 56 Mbps, see the change now in the latest test image.
