Model: Archer T6E
Hardware Version: V2
Firmware Version: Archer T6E(US)_V1&V2_200603_Win10 Version: 7.35.317.1

Hello,

I just moved into a new apartment and setting up my home network. The router (Fritzbox 7590) is standing two rooms away. The TP Link Archer t6e never gets above 40Mpbs in the 5ghz network but the upload is always above 40. In the 2,4Ghz network it gets around 30Mbps dl but also up to 40 upload.

My Laptop with an Intel Dual Band Wireless AC 8265 gets full 260Mbps standing right beside the desktop PC.
With the  2,4ghz network the laptop gets 40Mpbs. All my mobile phones while using 2,4Ghz get over 60Mbps and with 5Ghz similar speeds.

I also tested the adapter with a Broadcom 802.11.ac Driver Version 7.77.119.0 but got the same results.

@w3dg3

Sorry to hear that the speed is not good with this adapter, please kindly verify what is the driver version and system version of the Windows computer as this: https://www.tp-link.com/support/faq/2722/.

How about the wireless link speed on the computer when it is connected to the Fritzbox 7590's 5G network, you can check it as this: https://www.tp-link.com/support/faq/2265/.

You can try to change the wireless settings on the Fritzbox 7590, run a Wi-Fi analyzer on the PC to verify which 5G channel is busy and which is clear, then choose a clear channel on the router, change its channel width to 80MHz, then reboot both the router and the PC to confirm.

BTW, did you download this 7.77.119.0 driver from the chipset website yourself? This seems quite updated.
