Hello everyone,
Here is a summary thread for Range Extender Weak security issue,  where you could find some troubleshooting tips & the latest (beta) firmware that fixed the problem:
[Solution] iPhone iOS14 recognizing the range extender wireless network as "weak security"
https://community.tp-link.com/en/home/forum/topic/232218?page=1

If you still experience the same issue, please report back with information required in the above thread, so we could look in to your inquiry as soon as possible.
If  your model is not listed there ,feel free to leave the Hardware version and Country version (UK/ EU etc.) of your device there ,we would regularly record them for further evaluation.

@aceedburn

Hi, thank you very much for your feedback.

Have you tried to change another web browser to have a look, even another laptop or smartphone

@TP-Link yes it works on my iPad on safari now and also chrome. But doesn't work on my windows laptop using chrome. The web management page of tp-link products is very picky. It works on some browsers and platforms and doesn't work on others. Even my C80 router web management page doesn't work on my iPad safari but works on chrome. Is there a new stable version firmware for RE450 coming out and when will it be released?

@TP-Link hi there, thank you for this announcement.

What are the changes in this new Beta firmware?

And what is the intended release date for the stable version?

Thank you very much.

@Kev83

Hi, thank you for your update.

Please make sure that you have down the following trouble shooting:

1. reset the RE450 and set it up again via web interface;

2. delete the previous Wi-Fi profile for RE450 and search for the new Wi-Fi and connect it again;

--if the issue still here, please feel free to leave me a private message and we would like to forward your case to the senior engineers.

Thank a lot.

Wish you a Happy Year and Merry Christmas.

@EL-REM

Hi,

Thanks a lot for your time and patience.

Currently, there is no plan to add the OneMesh on the RE450 v3.

Thank you very much for your understanding and support.

The RE450 has been withdrawn from the Onemesh compatibility list considering there is no firmware released in the next few months, to avoid potential loss, we put it out from the list; If you customers want to use Onemesh feature, you can choose the RE300, RE205 which support Onemesh already.

While if you have had the RE450 already, do you have any router which supports Onemesh?

Good day.

Why now customers have to bear the consequences of your negligence?

@TP-Link I installed the beta on my RE450 V3 and it worked great. I had to reset the extender and pair again with the main router. No more weak security issue. I look forward for the stable version, the writing behind the admin page it's a bit annoying
