Model: Deco M5
Hardware Version:
Firmware Version: 1.5.1 Build 20201022 Rel. 66804

Setup:

ISP Huawei router/modem >> Deco M5 (Operating Mode =  Router)

I'm from Manila, and currently been using Deco M5 as a freebie from my internet provider (Globe Telecom).

However upon using it, I'm experiencing some issues.

1. Laptops have lower upload speed compared to a mobile phone, when doing a speedtest.org test to Herndon,VA (PBW Communications, LLC server).

Mobile Phone (over 5ghz wifi) -

Download 118 Mbps

Upload 91.6 Mbps

Laptop 1 (over 5ghz wifi)

Download 99.64 Mbps

Upload 2.42 Mbps

Laptop 1 (over ethernet cable)

Download 85.28Mbps

Upload 2.58 Mbps

Laptop 1 (speedtest to ISP Globe Telecom)

Download 106.35Mbps

Upload 96.70 Mbps

2. A business laptop has issue downloading files over FTP, while connected to a business VPN.

- Download is slow, takes 75MB file more than a few hours to complete.

- Re-tested using an LTE connection, and it finished after a few seconds.

I removed QoS Priority Devices, and its currently set to Standard.

Can anyone help?

@Takubets

Good day!

Could you please help me check the following information:

1. Is the laptop the only device that has a slow unload speed?

2. As for the VPN connection, when you mentioned using LTE connection, is the laptop connected to the mobile hotspot?

3. What is the modem number and operating system of your laptop?

Thank you very much.
