Model: TL-WR940N
Hardware Version: V6
Firmware Version: 3.20.1 Build 200316 Rel.34392n (4555)

Hi There,

i have some trouble with my TL-WR940N Router.

I got a macbook 2012 connected via LAN and if i´m starting a speedtest i got about 100 Mbits.

If i´m using the WLAN with the mac i still got about 70 mbits, which is ok for my needs.

But when i'm using my Android phone, my Iphone or my iPad pro, the speed varies a lot.

Sometimes i got about 12 Mbits, sometimes 1 Mbits. But often i only got about 4 Mbits.

All the time the Pictures and Videos are starting very fast but then after 2 seconds they stop.

I tested:

Changing the LAN-Cables

Changing the position of the router

Changing different Channels

Changing Channel width...

Nothing seems to help.

Could anyone help me here?

I´m very happy to recive any tip or advice

Many thanks for your help

Best Regards

Felix

@Felozi

Hello,

I think it would be good if You can test the speed further in different situation.

Maybe there is not enough bandwidth for Your needs.

Please turn off all Wi-Fi devices and the MacBook. Then with the Android phone start a speed test. Also make sure the mobile data is turned off on Your phone before doing so.

Also do this close to the router to ensure a strong Wi-Fi signal.

Let us know what results You have.

Kind regards.
