Hello,

The AX20 is compatible with the Deco M5, so it's OK to connect them together.

However, Deco M5 can't build a mesh network with non-Deco devices, it can only build a mesh network with the Deco devices. And when Deco works with another wireless router, it is suggested to turn off the router's Wi-Fi network and use Deco's Wi-Fi network instead to minimize the wireless interference.

@Kevin_Z Thanks, wondering if I would be better just using an AX20,and then not use the DecoM5 at all.

You may check if the AX20 can cover the whole house and each room can connect to its network, if yes, then I may say yes, you can leave without the Deco M5; If no, then you may still need the Deco.
