Model: TL-WPA8630P KIT
Hardware Version: V1
Firmware Version:

Hi there, I'm hoping someone can help me as I've hit a dead end trying to sort this issue.

I've been running my WPA8630P for some time with no issues.  Yesterday I noticed that the extender (plug B) was no longer replicating my wifi router and appeared as TP-LINK_1E62 and TP-LINK_1E62_5G.

When I try to connect to this extender, my router password is being rejected, so I tried resetting the router using the reset button, then enter the wifi password from the sticker on the extender itself, but this was also rejected.  Effectively I seem to be locked out of the router.

I've tried re-pairing plug B with plug A, but that's when the Powerline LED seems to cycle from Green-Amber-Red on the main unit, and remains solid Amber on the extender (even when in the same room).

Can anyone please help me reset the units and then set them up to mirror my main wifi router as I had previously?

(I should add, I'm running some smart plugs which only run on 2Ghz, which may explain why Plug B was showing twice in my wifi networks.)

@Foundationsmcr

Good day.

Sorry for the delay.

Have you tried to use the 8 digits password on the back label of TL-WPA8630P to connect TP-LINK_1E62 and TP-LINK_1E62_5G?

If the 8 digits numbers failed too, please try to reset the TL-WPA8630P by holding the pair button for 10s;

Thank you very much.
