Model: Deco M5
Hardware Version: V1
Firmware Version: 1.4.9

My deco was recently upgraded. I have 4 networks using the same deco platform. for whatever reason, one of the networks didn't like the upgrade as all devices work on it except the ip cameras. i thought maybe their service was down but like the deco platform, the same ip camera platform is on the other networks. ive tried reseting the router, on and off, same with the cameras, did a modem reset via ip provider and no luck. before i factory reset the ip cameras i  tried to see if i can reverse the firmware upgrade but deco and many before me, are not able to do so. tp link, whatever you did, please enable a reverse feature as this is not the first nor last time a user will ask of this.

@freejokes https://www.tp-link.com/us/support/download/deco-m5/v1/#Firmware if google can pop this up for someone searching how to reverse, you have to do it on a pc. go to this link. and then download previous firmware and do the install via browser on pc.

@freejokes successfully reversed firmware. Apparently deco decided to add a different encryption. I will play with with tihs tomorrow and update if recommended encryption for older devices is successful.

Modifications and Bug Fixes:
1. Fixed the Wi-Fi encryption type as WPA2-PSK [AES] to ensure the security of the Wi-Fi connection.
2. Added the option to change the Wi-Fi encryption type.
Note: Some old devices may fail to connect to Deco due to not supporting WPA2-PSK [AES]. You can change the Wi-Fi encryption type to WPA2-PSK [AES] / WPA-PSK [TKIP] to be compatible with these devices.
