Firmware Version: 1.0.9 Build 20200708 rel.55037(4555)

Hi,

Address reservation feature seems bugged.

For some devices, cannot add an Resrved IP Address. It's stuck on this error : "This IP address is reserved for another device. Please enter a new one."

But... it doesn't work with ANY ip address. Even it refuse to reserve the address the device currently use.

After reboot, hard reboot, DHCP server On/Off, waiting for the lease time... nothing help.

@Bosoochee

I've solved it by doing a factory reset...

Maybe have a look at Settings/Security/IP & MAC bindings. As it was my only setting done, maybe playing with it could solve it...

@Gromi

Hello, is this issue only happening on some devices? What are they? How many devices are connected to the AX50, and what devices that you want to do address reservation for?

@Kevin_Z

Hello,

After trying so many thing, I asked google to help me and I found this fourm with the same error message. Seems like not so many users are facing this bug.

I found the same problem on AX20, I reserve an adress for one raspberry card, it works for the first time then I wanted to change this adress since I reorganised my network. Then it was impossible to change it :

I reboot (soft and hard) the router and the raspberry, I tried with several adresses in the range of the dhcp serveur with the same problem even with the first adress.... I have another rapsberry (and others equipements) and I can change the ip address without any problem...

I gave up and for now I configure a static ip on my raspberry but I would like to manage all my IP from the router.

Thanks for your help If any idea or any new firmware...

  @Gromi and everybody. I was dealing with this problem and after a while I realize that you need to create an address reservation in the Network section -> DHCP Server -> Address Reservation -> Add. There you can add a MAC and give an IP address. This IP will be assigned always to that MAC. Then, you can connect the device to the router, and after that, you can go to Security -> IP & MAC Bindings -> ARP List and look up for the MAC you previously addedd to the Addres Reservation, when you find it, click on the chain icon beside the garbage can. This will bind this IP and MAC too for security purposes.

Regards.

  @Gromi found out how to solve it.
1. Disable IP & MAC Binding.
2. Add desired DHCP Address Reservation entries.

3. Re-enable IP & MAC Binding.

4. Profit.
