Good day,
Thank you very much for your time and patience.
May I know where are you located?
Have you tried to change the wireless channel on the HG814v5 to be channel 36/40?—if it could not be changed, may I know what is the default channel?
By the way, may I know the region code on the RE650, is it EU version?
Thanks a lot.

Did you find a solution on this. Having the same problem with a TP link booster connecting to the echolife 8145V5 router.
It connects then when you login to the booster wifi it says can't connect.
Tried it on 2 other routers and works perfectly. Any suggestions.
TIA

Good day@HurricaneIT ,
Do you mean the 1. range extender could not detect 5Ghz Wi-Fi of host router, or 2. RE see the 5Ghz Wi-Fi but fails to connect to it?
If your concern is the former, this thread should be able to help: [Troubleshooting] TP-Link Range Extender is not detecting the 5GHz Signal of the Main Router
For 2. may I know the model & version of your extender, and what is the error & Led status on RE if it fails to connect host router, many thanks.

No the wifi booster picks up both networks 2 and 5 ghz and connects to them but once it's connected to that router you can't connect to the booster unless you reset it. I've tested this multiple times with this router and another router and always the same with this Echolife router.

Hi @HurricaneIT ,
Does the Wi-Fi/ Signal LEDs light up after the installation, if Leds are ON, try to turn on RE DHCP server, manually set up the IP and IP range for RE ,
refer to Case3 in below thread for details: Has connected to TP-Link extender but no internet, what can I do?
Let us know the model , hardware, firmware version of your RE if the concern persists, please share a photo of RE's DHCP server settings if possible, thank you.
