2 tplink archer c7 v5 - One Mesh Network
I have two TP-Links archer c7. A version 4 and a version 5. Version 4 is not compatible with the one mesh network. So I'm thinking of buying another Archer C7 v5 to build a OneMesh network. If i put one router in Router Mode and other in Acess Point mode, the mesh network will works?
Another question, can I connect these 2 routers via cable to work through One Mesh? And finally, is there any official position on version 4, whether it will have an update or not?

Hi, thanks for asking.
Firstly, the Archer C7 V5 supports OneMesh™ only on router mode, which means you cannot set up one as a router and the other as an access point, they won't connect via OneMesh™. The OneMesh™ router can only be combined with OneMesh™ RE or OneMesh™ PLC to build Mesh networks.
Secondly, we cannot connect two routers that support OneMesh™ together via Ethernet cable to build up the OneMesh™ network.
Lastly, there is currently no plan to add the support for OneMesh™ on Archer C7 V4.
Nice day~
