Region : UnitedKingdom

Model : TL-WR1042ND

Hardware Version : V1

Firmware Version : 3-14-4 to 3-15-4

ISP : Primus Saver

I had it all working fine, then I wanted to upgrade the firmware. The original firmware was 3-14-4. I downloaded and applied the 3-15-4 firmware. Now when it powers on the power light is on all the time. Immediately the sys, 4, 3, 2, 1, Internet, usb and wps lights flash once. Then about 5 seconds later the 4, 3, 2, 1 & Internet lights flash once, then a second later the cycle starts again. When I connect it to the PC it starts to make a connection on the NIC, but then the router resets. Model: TL-WR1042ND, Ver 1.3 .
Is there a way to reset the firmware or get it working again?

How about you upgrade it back to the previous firmware?

Hey - I have the exact same problem as described in post #1. My HW version is 1.4 but the symptoms are identical. The only thing I could add is that the reset button won't do anything either. Downgrading to previous firmware could be a solution but I don't know how to contact the router ... it won't connect to my laptop so I cannot access the admin page.

Any suggestions anyone?
