(FIXED) Archer T3U: Massive ping spikes unrelated to signal strength
Problem:
My WiFi USB adapter (TP-LINK Archer T3U) has massive ping spikes (connection cuts at this point) every 7 seconds or so, no matter the WiFi network it is connected to. Imgur album
I am running Windows 10 Pro x64, as shown further below.
What I've already tried:
- Reinstalling Windows (new SSD)
- Updating my BIOS
- Using USB 2.0
- Using different 3.0 ports (both those from the motherboard, and those from my PCI-E to USB card)
- Updating the drivers from the manufacturer's website
- Disabling IPV6 in the device's Windows settings
- Disabling USB power saving both system-wide, and for the adapter only
Notes:
- The adapter works just fine with other computers, even when located right next to the computer in question
- The signal strength appears to be just fine
- Windows is 100% up-to-date
- Drivers are 100% up-to-date
- Problem occurs both on 2.4GHz, and 5GHz
- Problem occurs both on both home internet, and mobile hotspot from phone
- PC specs
Any help would be appreciated. Thank you.
