Model: TL-PA8010P KIT
Hardware Version: V3
Firmware Version: 200717

Plugging in this home plug into my network 100% causes WAN to disconnect immediately. Then the connection will be restored but it will disconnect the WAN frequently thereafter making the internet completely unusable.

Things I've already done:

Downloaded TPPLC

Upgraded to the latest firmware

Created a network name for the pair

Turned OFF Power Saving

Turned ON Lower PLC to VDSL interference

Doing the above settings helps a little bit, but the disconnects still do happen every now and then. And by turning on the Lower PLC to VDSL interference, the speed is halved.

And because of this, the homeplug on the far end will have a hard time maintaining connection to the homeplug nearer to the main router. I've seen it once go completely haywire, all 3 lights turned off, then turn on again, and off, and on again like it is stuck in some sort of restart loop. Only way to solve is to power cycle the homeplug.

Is there any other solution or method to solve this issue?

@kiat33

Good day.

Thank you very much for your time and patience.

May I know how long have you had the adapter and where are you located?

Did this issue start since you bought it, or just recently?

May I know the model number of your home router

Thanks a lot.

@Solla-topee

The adapter is brand new from the box

I'm located in Malaysia

Issue from the very first day

My router is ASUS RT-AC86U

Just want to let you know that I also have a TL-PA4010KIT which exhibits similar issue - WAN disconnect
