TP-LINK RE650 / TKIP - AES ISSUE STILL UNRESOLVED !
HAVE SEEN SEVERAL ANSWERS TO THE DANGEROUS USE OF TKIP VS AES ASKED BY SEVERAL USERS, YET NO ONE AT TP LINK HAS YET ADDRESSED THIS ISSUE WITH *** CLEAR AND CONCISE STEPS *** TO DISABLE TKIP AND ONLY ALLOW AES ENCRYPTION....
STOP TRYING TO BLAME USERS ROUTERS !! IT IS THE COMPLETE LACK OF CLEAR SECURITY OPTIONS ON TP LINK EXTENDERS THAT IS CAUSING THIS SERIOUS ISSUE, AND WE DEMAND YOU ISSUE A FIRMWARE UPDATE ADDRESSING THIS ISSUE ASAP, OR OFFER CLEAR AND CONSIDER INSTRUCTIONS ON HOW TO DISABLE TKIP AND ENABLE AES ON THE EXISTING LATEST FIRMWARE ASAP !!!! THANK YOU.

I want to revert back to factory installed version. It was dated 2016 or 2017. Where can I download official TP-Link versions from these dates? The recommended version caused issues that did not exist with the older version.

Hi, "nl-be " website also use EU version firmware, so you could upgrade to the RE650 V1(EU)firmware mentioned in our recommend solution.

Is it possible to get a newer firmware for the RE650
WPA3 issue?
The latest on website is RE650(US)_V1_201112.
I'm still having issues connecting along with message of
WEAK SECURITY
WPA/WPA2 (TKIP) is not considered secure.
if this is your WI-Fi network, configure the router to use WPA2 (AES) or WPA3 Security type.

Sorry the delayed reply, make sure you have fixed the encryption mode of the home router to AES only
Reset RE650 and set it up again, reset: with RE powered on, push the reset hole until most Leds flash once.
