@TP-Link_Deco I have 3 m4r units and 3 E4R, I was able to (by utilizing the web interface only) force the m4r connected via cable to update. Everything else is showing as the old firmware and now on the web interface, even though it shows my main unit as of the September update, it's saying the latest for my m4r main unit is July. This is a little crazy.

edit: finally got them all updated after spending an hour trying to force the update constantly. Took a lot of waiting and a lot of retrying. It never worked updating it through the app.

@TP-Link_Deco Can we have a beta fix for us stuck on 1.5.0 and have had no antivirus updates for over a month please... Sept 15th was my last AV update with this firmware and its exposing my network to threats.

Thanks

@Kingdaveontour1

Hello, apologies for the late reply.

We have confirmed with our R&D that with the previous versions before 1.4.9 (including), the Antivirus page shows the time when you click on the "Tap to refresh" button, which doesn't mean the Antivirus database refresh every time you click on it, it will detect if there is an update on the database, if yes, then it will update the database, it not, it will stay use the old database.

While with the newer firmware 1.5.0, this has been changed, only when there is an update in the database, the "Tap to refresh" will show you an update, which means if there is actually no update recently, that time won't change.

Thanks very much for your feedback and let us know if you have any inquiries about it.

@TP-Link_Deco Thanks for your reply. SO does that mean that there have been no Trend Micro database updates for 5 weeks?! This seems a very long time for an AV database to have no new vulnerability updates?! I would imagine that a database update would be daily or weekly at best?

Thanks

@JeffWifi

Hi, thanks for asking. As for the Deco X60, you need to install the beta firmware in my post, then you will be able to change the security type. The official release is on the way, you may wait for the official firmware if you don't want to install the beta.

@TP-Link_Deco

Hi, I am asking again: is the firmware I now have on X60 ver. 1, that is 1.2.5 Build 20200709 Rel. 46606, different or the same as the beta one, that is 1.2.5-P1 20200922 Rel. 54037?

I am asking this because when I try to update 1.2.5 46606 to 1.2.5 54037, I get the message update failed and it doesn't work.

Thank you.

@TP-Link_Deco I've upgraded my M5 to FW 1.4.9 and IOS notification is now gone but i need to change WPA back to old because my Danfoss Link CC now cannot connect to the network.

I have IOS app 2.3.12 and there is no option to change WPA settings in WIFI. I have Deco setup in AP mode

@TP-Link_Deco The MacOS update tool worked flawlessly.  I have the Deco M9 Plus_V2 hardware, but the App still shows 1.2.x version of firmwire and no option to upgrade the firmwire through the App.  I followed this instruction and downloaded the upgrade tool and the newest firmwire.  It updated all my 3 Deco units in about 5 min.  No more warning on my iPhone saying weak security.  Great job!

Deco M9 Plus_V2: new official firmware 1.4.3 Build 20200921 Rel. 42500 is now available, update it via the Deco app or web interface directly. If someone is still under the older 1.2.x version, he will need to manually download the latest firmware from here, then update it via the Upgrade Tool.
