Default Router mode is slower than AP mode

Hi all,
I've just change RSP and upgrade my nbn speed from 50Mbps ⬇️ to 100Mbps ⬇️.
On wifi, I had no issue with 50 Mbps on all 3 of the Deco M5. Roughly will get 45-50Mbps.
Once I've upgraded the speed to 100Mbps. Speed test remain within 45-50Mbps on wifi. (Strangely, my power over ethernet connection also remain at 45-50Mbps). I switched on the wifi from the modem/router and speed is 95-100+ Mbps
I've change the settings from Router mode (default) to AP mode and the speed increased to 95-100 Mbps on wifi.
Tried router mode again and the speed drop again to 45-50 Mbps on wifi.
Can anyone help to explain why its doing this? And the steps to fix this? Ideally i like to keep the router mode on as it allow parental control and QoS.
The only thing i haven't done is factory resetting the deco.
