Why nearly 90.000(!) queries a day??????
I updated the firmware of my deco m9's the other day, and since then they suddenly feel the need to query eu.pool.ntp.org EVERY SIX seconds.
That is 600 times per hour. 14.400 per day, and since I have three units a grand total of 43.200 requests for the correct time. Per day.
And to top it all off, the DNS requests are sent out over IP4 as well as IP6
So, the grand total is
86.400 requests!!!
why for heavens sake?????
ps. Here's some proof provided by my pi-hole instance. In case we get some crap answer again.

@realjax the deco's try to connect to a non working time server adres eu.pool.ntp.org
I made a own DNS record eu.pool.ntp.org pointing to europe.pool.ntp.org
If a deco can connect to a working time server it stops retrying every second.

Thanks. That seems like a good workaround to this umpth TP link problem. Where did you create that forward rule?
Edit:
never mind, I got it to work using dnsmasq on the pi-hole.
Still, TPlink needs to fix this, its ridiculous.
