Hello

I bought the Archer T2U AC600 USB adapter to connect my laptop to the 5G network from my router. My laptop runs Wndows 10, 64-bit, version 2004 and is up to date according to Windows Update. However, the adapter does not list my router's 5G network. It lists other 5G networks (mobile hotspots and neighbour's network) but not my router's. The adaper's driver information is version 1030.29.1102.2017, date 18/07/2018.

I have another similar adapter working fine on my wife's laptop (Windows 10, 64-bit, version 1909), also up to date according to Windows Update. The adapter's dirver information is version 1030.27.425.2018, date 25/10/2018.

I've tried swapping the adapters between the two laptops and they both work fine on my wife's laptop but not on mine. I don't want to update my wife's laptop to version 2004 in case this breaks something and I can't downgrade the Windows on my laptop.

Can anyone help? Thanks.

Regards

Rick

@Kathy_Z Thanks for your reply.

As I reported in another thread, after I changed the channel from 'auto' to '36' as someone had suggested, my router's 5G network suddenly became visible to my laptop and I can now connect without any problems. I'll try the channels you mentioned and get back to you if they don't work. My router is Huawei HG8245Q. Note that when the channel on the router was set to auto, the T2U adapter was able to detect other 5G networks but not the one from my router. The weird thing is that another laptop with the same adapter could detect the 5G network with 'auto' mode on the router but that laptop has not been updated to Windows 10 version 2004 yet.

I tried your driver but it fails to install. I get the following error "The hash for the file is not present in the specified catalog file. The file is likely corrupt of the victim of tampering."

The computer info is
