Hi,

Sorry if this has already been answered somewhere, but i'm having some trouble finding the answer. I'd like to set my system up in the exact star configuration as the below picture. Also, i've listed my hardware version as V1, but i'm not sure where i find this.

Do the SLAVE deco's need to be within wireless range of the MASTER deco, or will wiring them directly (through a switch) to the MASTER allow for me to place the SLAVE further away?

Is ethernet backhaul ONLY for sending information back to the MASTER, or will i have internet connectivity at the SLAVE under the same mesh network?

Hello, please set up the Deco units on the same network at first through the Deco app before you wired them together, after that, you can move the satellite Deco unit to different rooms or floors and connect it to the other Deco node with an Ethernet cable, then the Ethernet Backhaul should take effect automatically. There is no necessity to connect all the satellite Deco nodes to the main, you can connect them to the other satellite.
