Model: Archer C20  
Hardware Version: V4
Firmware Version: 0.9.1 4.16 v0001.0 Build 181213 Rel.63587n

When I play muntiplayer online games in phone (like PUBG,COD), then I face sudden ping hike (250ms,646ms, 964ms) for some time and then it goes down to (86ms, 60ms). But at same time in my PC shows ping is 1 ms or lass then 1ms. Please help, is there any way to fix it?

Hello,

 

Please help verify some details as below:

1. Ensure the C20 firmware is up-to-date. If not, update it first and reconfigure it from scratch.

2. Is the PC connected to the C20 with an Ethernet cable when you see those pings are 1ms or lass then 1ms? How about the phone, is it connected to the 2.4GHz or 5GHz? Is it showing a full signal when it is normal and when it is showing a high ping? Please try to change the WAN DSN server on the C20 to 8.8.8.8 and 8.8.4.4, then confirm again.

3. It is also suggested to modify some basic wireless settings on the router:

Hello,

 

1. I update the firmware around 1 mounth ago.

2. yes my PC is connected with Ethernet cable. My phone connected with 2.4GHz. It is showing full signal strignth (both normal and high ping). i already connected DNS to 8.8.8.8.

3. I already try channel to 6 and 11, and channel width to 20MHz. In channel 6 and 11 it improved little bit, but not at it best.

Thanks for the update. Is your phone support 5GHz? If yes, try to connect to the 5GHz network and confirm again.

 

As per your description, what we assume is that there might be too much interference in the 2.4GHz. Try a mobile app to analyze the WiFi around you, review all the channels in 2.4GHz and 5GHz. Next, review the channels on the router for 2.4GHz and 5GHz. If the channels match that around you, an indication of overcrowded. Manually adjust the channels for 2.4GHz and 5GHz to lesser use channels.

 

There are possibly other wireless parameters that need tweaking, such as Power Transmit, narrow or wide band, etc. but start with the above and below link:
