Model: Archer C60
Hardware Version: V1
Firmware Version: 1.1.0 build 20191106 rel.36548

I recently setup the archer c60 for home, everything works fine when I have 5 devices connected, the moment when I add more devices like 10, the remaining devices gets the IP but says no internet, while the first 5 devices have internet and works fine. Is there a limitation of number of active devices that can get internet access at a time?

I will have to reboot the router everytime to get the DHCP renew release and then the internet gets connected. Is there a bug?

@Kryptonrg

Hi,

The maximum number of concurrent clients that wireless routers can handle is mainly restricted to router hardware and network environment. For most of the single band wireless routers, the recommended value is 1~20. However, the specific number depends on your traffic load and the bandwidth given by your ISP. For example, if some clients in your network are doing uTorrent/P2P downloading or watching online video, most of the bandwidth and system resources will be occupied, then only a few clients can enjoy the network; but if all the clients just do ordinary web browsing, then the router can handle much more clients simultaneously with good network performance.

@Kevin_Z  I have a 150mbps connection and the earlier Netgear and D-Link used to work fine with multiple devices. Even if I have no much activity with the connected devices with internet the new devices that I add like couple of mobile phones says connected no internet. And I don't even see the download and upload speed statistics reaching the threshold it's very minimal, isn't this a bug that could be affecting?

@Kryptonrg

Hi,

Just to verify, have you tried to reset the router to its factory defaults and reconfigure it from scratch, then confirm again?

Meanwhile, please ensure the firmware of your router is up-to-date, you may download the latest firmware from the official website and update it.

Thanks.

@Kevin_Z it's a brand new one, I can try upgrading the firmware. But for archer 60 the firmware in the website seems to be older than what I have in my router. It says published date as 2016. Unable to find or probably I dont have previliges to view it?
