VR2100 modem doesn’t recognize Archer C6 AP as OneMesh device
I have a VR2100 as my modem/router, and a few Archer C6 in AP mode connected to it.
Although all are onemesh devices, the VR2100 does not recognize the C6 as a onemesh device.
why is that? How can I make it work?
Does smart connect has to be enabled on all devices for onemesh to work?

I now realize this is because the C6 APs are wire connected to the VR2100 router.
So onemesh doesn't work for wired APs? Any plan to change that?

Good day.
Thank you very much for your time and patience.
Yes, you are right.
You can use a OneMesh™ Wireless Router or Modem Router with several sets of Range Extenders or Powerline Adapters to create a OneMesh™ network. Be aware, you cannot create a OneMesh™ network between two routers.

and till now, we did not have the plan to add the OneMesh feature on access point mode;
Thank you very much!

you are not reading my question correctly so let me rephrase:
Why does onemesh not work between a router and an AP when they are connected in a wired connection, and only when they are connected wirelessly? Why can't I use a wired connection for a onemesh backbone? Is there a plan to change that?
Thanks
