Archer VR2100 - Randomly reboots several times a day.
Hi,
Had the Arccher Vr2100 a few eeks now and it reboots itself several times during a 24hr period.
Firmware up to date and cannot see and kind of schedules in the settings that would reboot it.
The logs do not show anything obvious.
Do i have a faulty device?

@Zajic If it isn't stable even in wireless router mode, then the VR2100 is about as useful as an inflatable dartboard !!

This is exactly the problem I have too. It restarts and then the logs show a date of 2016. Mine disconnects sometimes after a few hours, sometimes after a few days.
I've noticed the LEDs have started turning off for no reason too, and I then have to go into the settings and turn them back on. It doesn't seem to stick though. Do you get this sorted?

@NobFox Problem is still unfortunately unresloved.
And you're right. It also seems to me that the LEDs are sometimes going out.

@Zajic Still? I'd be happy if it stayed up for over a week at a time - sometimes I get three drops a day. I could deal with that. It's the fact I have to work from home at the moment and having something that could drop out mid-meeting followed by a bumbling apology from me.

@NobFox Yea. :( There are more of us with this problem. I describe above my workaround with "Wireless Router Mode" but unfortunately it falls too (but my uptime about 5 days).
Note: "Wireless Router Mode" missing any info about "uptime". I guess 'uptime' according to the system log + homeoffice.

I recently bought this router and I am seeing 1-2 reboots per day with the latest official firmware. I tried the beta provided on this thread and it was way worse - 5 reboots in a few hours this morning. I reverted to the official firmware for now.
Is another beta going to be released soon?

@Zajic thank you.
I had 1 reboot with the official firmware since I last posted which is poor but better than my experience with the beta.

After being given one beta to try that still had reboots I have now been given links for three additional beta versions to try, which includes the latest listed in this thread. Support want me to attempt these sequentially and see what happens, which doesn't help when stable internet connection is needed for home working.
My router seems to for some reason right now to go through the cycle of random reboots at night, which I can almost live with.

Today i going to return modem Zyxel VMG4005 B60A which I had for testing. And VR2100 was running in mode !Wireless Router Mode! (with VLANID+PPPoE)
Time: 8.3.2021 - 16.3.2021
Result:
- CRC fine
- not speed abnormality (not dropping to 0,1/5)
Restart VR2100: 1x
Firmware: 1.5.0 0.9.1 v009e.0 Build 210303 Rel.51869n
This only proves problem with VR2100. :(
Today I going to return VR2100 to modem mode. I'm waiting for information on which version to use now by TPLINK engineer.
