Archer VR2100 - Randomly reboots several times a day.
Hi,
Had the Arccher Vr2100 a few eeks now and it reboots itself several times during a 24hr period.
Firmware up to date and cannot see and kind of schedules in the settings that would reboot it.
The logs do not show anything obvious.
Do i have a faulty device?

With further testing, I have noticed that this router is struggling with my mobile phone Wi-Fi set to randomized MAC. I sometimes lose the Wi-Fi connection from my phone unless I set my mobile phone to use it's own MAC address. This is something that the TP-Link team can look into. I will carry on testing further and report back. Regards. Steve

I don't know my problem is the same as you but something is wrong with ip reservation. For example;
192.168.1.105 is assigned to my TV.
If TV is off and i open my PC or another device, the router assign this ip to this device. When i open the TV, it takes the same ip from router and PC or other device's internet becomes unusable. I had this issue a few times. It's really weird.

I have just reconfigured the 2.4Ghz Wi-Fi channels in our house to see if it improves the Wi-Fi connectivity although I have been using the same channels for years with the previous TP Link modem router TD-W9980. I will report back if it helps or not.

Unfortunately, the VR2100 router has rebooted again this morning. It managed nearly 2 days of up time with the very latest firmware which is a new record for this router. The Wi-Fi has improved since I re-organised the channels for the 2.4Ghz band so that is one plus point. However, I've had this router for nearly one week now and consider it to be unfit for purpose if the rebooting issue can't be resolved. Are TP-Link still working on the issue? Are they clear what the issue is?
