Does QoS work with Ethernet connected devices
Hey guys,
I've read that QoS works only in wi-fi mode and does not affect when a PC or other device connected to Deco with Ethernet port.
In other words, if I have QoS high priority on streaming and watching Youtube on Mac over wi-fi and downloading huge file on PC that's connected to Deco with Ethernet.
Will PC take all my bandwidth despite streaming on wi-fi have higher priority, becausee Ethernet have higher priority over wi-fi
Is that statement true ?

Hi,
May I know where did you see that there is no QoS setting for the Ethernet-connected clients? There are device priority and application priority for the Deco QoS settings, so you can set a device or application to have a high priority no matter it is connected to the Deco wifi or wireless:
https://www.tp-link.com/support/faq/2011/
Below is the guide to configure the QoS settings on the Deco:

May it help.

@TP-Link_Deco
Hello,
Thank you for the confirmation.
I can't remember where it was written, somewhere in the forum. I believe it was referred, that Ethernet cable has more priority by default, compared to wi-fi, thus it will have more priority no matter if you have QoS high priority on wi-fi or not.
Good to know, that we can control priority on wi-fi too.
