Deco M9 plus IP setting
Hi,
I'm not an expert in networking setup and I have an issue when I installed my Deco M9.
My existing router has an static IP address with some port forwarding setup for my cctv remote viewing, previously I used to connect my cctv DVR with a repeater with no issue as the repeater captures all the setting from my router, currently I've installed the Deco M9 and it's working perfectly, one of the Deco points is fixed next to the DVR and connected with an Ethernet cable but the remote cctv access is not connecting.
my question is how do I make my Deco obtain the IP address and other options automatically from my router? Or do I have to set it manually in the main Deco?
Appreciate your assistance. Thanks

Hi, there are differences when the Deco is working as a router and as an AP:

If you have the advanced settings on it, it is not suggested to do that directly. However, if the main Deco is currently working as a router, you need to do the same port forwarding settings on the main Deco for your CCTV camera, ensure the camera's IP address is in the IP subnet of the Deco now:

May this make sense, good day.

Hello,
Can you please confirm if the Deco units are connected as below?
The existing router (static IP)==>main Deco M9 (AP mode?), the other 2 satellite Deco M9s are connected to the main wirelessly and your CCTV is connected to one of the satellite Deco with an Ethernet cable?
You may check if the main Deco M9 is working as an AP as below, if it is not, you may change it to AP mode to give it a go:
On the Deco APP, please tap “More “on the bottom right corner then go to “Advanced”, where you will see the working mode.
May it help.
