Model: RE450
Hardware Version: V1
Firmware Version:

Dear Forum,

I have an Archer C5400 and v1 RE450. The C5400 is working fine, but where  the RE450 will connect to the router it cannot establish a connection to the internet.

Any device connected to the router gets internet access, whilst and device connected to the RE450 can only see other devices on the network. For example, an IP camera (connected to the RE450) can feed my NAS (connected to the router), but a laptop connected to the RE450 cannot get an internet connection.

I have tried a static IP in the RE450 but this has not helped. Any more ideas?

Is the C5400 blocking the RE450...?

Regards,

@DJE666

Good day.

For your case, could you please help us check the following information:

  1. After the setup, can you see all the 3 lights lit up on the RE450?
  2. Can you please also help me check the DHCP server status on the RE450?
  3. And did you set up the guest network or access control, mac filtering etc. on the C5400?

Thank you very much.

@Solla-topee

Hi Solla,

This issue appears to have resolved itself over night, perhaps an IP lease renewal issue? Here are the settings you asked after.

@Rajes Hello, detailed issue description including the TP-Link device model as well as its hardware version will help a lot in addressing the issue, so don't hesitate to provide as more details as you can.
