Set everything up on my new AC4000 (thanks Costco!).  Plugged in my USB backup drive to the USB3 port.  Changed the backup destination to \\Tp-share.  Backups are running fine.

However I keep getting this error in the Karenware log:

Warning: Could Not Set Destination File Attributes (Error 5 - Access is denied.): \\Tp-share\g\backups\folder\path\myfilename.doc

These exact setting have worked fine with Karenware in the past to backup to the same USB drive plugged in to my old router.

Can I change some settings on the router admin to get rid of this error message that is replicated on thousands of files?

Thanks.

@KallenWebDesign

Hello,

May I know what kind of Karenware software do you refer to? Can I have the screenshot of the destination error when you try to access the backup files?

Thanks.

Karenware is the best backup software for backing up wirelessly from a computer to a router wirelessly - and it is free!

However, the my samsung wireless printer would not connect to the router (but connects fine to my old router), and the router kept dropping 5ghz connections, so I just returned it to costco.

Too bad, I really wanted to like this router.
