Lan and wifi devices don't see each other, no ping and no data transfer
I have a DNLA server connected to the router via RJ45 and an LG TV connected via wifi. They both show as connected and can access the internet but I can't ping beteen them and they don't "see" each other on the network. Any ideas folks?

Is the DLNA server configured on your computer, which is connected to the AX11000 with cable? What is the IP address on it? What is the detailed network layout?
How about the LG TV, is it connected to the 2.4GHz or 5GHz, what is the IP address?

@Kevin_Z Yes, the DNLA srever (Twonky) is on the PC which is connected to the router via ethernet cable IP is 192.168.0.102. The LG TV is connected via the 5Ghz wifi network with an IP od 192.168.0.116.
What detail do you need with regards to the network. I two things connected via ethernet to the router PC (192.168.0.102) and a printer (192.168.0.222). I have a phone 192.168.0.148), iPad (192.168.0.234) radio (192.168.0.100) TV (192.168.0.116). My previous router a Netgear R6300 ran all of this without any issue, with the same setup etc so I'm at a loss to understand why I cant seem to stream from the DNLA server. I've connected the TV via the 2.4 and 5 Ghz wifi network and I've put the PC on the same wifi network and they still cannot communicate with each other!

@Mackem I am having the EXACT same problem, some devices are unable to ping, or otherwise connect to other devices on the same wifi network. I have pinged the device in question from the tp-link router ping tool and get a response, when I attempt to ping the device from another client on the network and I dont get a response. I did another quick test, I changed one device I was having problems connecting to, to the 5G wireless, and all the sudden the iPhone that I use a client software could connect to that device. I was still unable to connect to the other device which is still connected to the 2.4G wireless, so I connected my iPhone to the 2.4G wireless, and fully expecting to be able to connect to the device that I couldnt while connected to the 5G wireless, but that wasnt the case, I still couldnt connect to the device, but the other TV that I changed to the 5G wireless network was still pingable and the app could connect. So, its only affecting a small number of devices, but I believe it has something to do with which wireless 5G vs 2.4G the devices connect to.
Anyway, hope you can provide some assistance.

Hello, can we have a more detailed info that which devices in the network are not responding to the ping from another devices, are they connected to the same 2.4GHz or 5GHz network? How about their IP address?

192.168.0.117 - pattys-iPhone - 5G
192.168.0.118 - olddelllaptop - 2.4G
192.168.0.125 - daniels-iPad - 5G
192.168.0.127 - VisioTV-LR - 5G
192.168.0.136 - daniels-iPhone -5G
192.168.0.137 - ROKU-Stick-Kids - 2.4G
192.168.0.177 - timecapsule - 2.4G
192.168.0.203 - WorkLaptop - 2.4G
192.168.0.215 - daniels-iMac - 5G
192.168.0.226 - TCL-TV-MBR - 5G
192.168.0.233 - Roku-Stick-LR - 5G
192.168.0.239 - Win10LT - 2.4G
192.168.0.20 - ethernet on iMac
192.168.0.21 - ethernet on Win10LT
I will also have grandchildren that will come over with their tablets and other cell phones that connect to the wifi, but none of these are concerning, since they are not permanent network devices and they all work with no problems.
I have a DHCP server that is running on the tp-link router with the following settings:
IP Range - 192.168.0.0/255.255.255.0
Scope - 192.168.0.100 - 192.168.0.249
Lease Time - 120 Minutes, which I feel is a bit too short of a lease time, normally we use 7 days unless your using VoIP phones then they get 8 hour lease times.
Default-Gateway - 192.168.0.1
Primary DNS - 192.168.0.1
Secondary DNS - 8.8.8.8
MAC Reservation - 192.168.0.177 This is for my timecapsule.
The timecapsule (192.168.0.177) is set to extend the wifi network and will connect just fine to the tp-link wifi on 2.4G. On the rear of the timecapspule is a 3 port ethernet gig switch that I have both the iMac and the Win10LT hardwire ethernet connections in use. I have hard set the IP address of the ethernet interface on the iMac to 192.168.0.20. I have hard set the ethernet interface on the Win10LT to 192.168.0.21. I have these set up so that I can move data between the iMac and the Win10LT without moving it across the wifi links as I move lots of data between these devices and moving the data across gig ethernet is faster than wifi or at least before I got the tp-link router.
in the tp-link router I have 2 static routes set up as follows:
192.168.0.20 / 255.255.255.255 192.168.0.177
192.168.0.21 / 255.255.255.255 192.168.0.177
I have these static routes set up so that if the wifi on ether the iMac or the Win10LT drops off each of the machines can still get out to the internet utilizing the extended wifi on the timecapsule.
My problem is limited in focus to being able to ping and manage devices on the network. The ping failures are VERY sporatic at best, at first I thought it was problems with communicating between devices that are on the 2.4G versus the 5G wifi connections. For a test I had the problem as follows:
I have the Roku-Stick-Kids (192.168.0.137) 2.4G that I was unable to manage from daniels-iphone (192.168.0.136) application, but I was able to manage Roku-Stick-LR (192.168.0.233) and TCL-TV-MBR (192.168.0.226) from the application. All 3 of the devices daniels-iphone, Roku-Stick-LR, and TCL-TV-MBR were all on the 5G wifi network but the Roku-Stick-Kids was on the 2.4G and I thought that was a problem so I did a test, I moved daniels-iphone to the 2.4G wifi connection fully expecting to lose connectivity to TCL-TV-MBR and Roku-Stick-LR and gain connectivity to Roku-Stick-Kids but alas that didnt help the situation. I was still able to connect to TCL-TV-MBR and Roku-Stick-LR from daniels-iphone but I was still unable to manage Roku-Stick-Kids. So I moved daniels-iphone back to 5G and still cant manage Roku-Stick-Kids but can manage either Roku-Stick-LR and TCL-TV-MBR from daniels-iphone. As a last ditch effort to manage the Roku-Stick-Kids I rebooted the tp-link router and after it came back online I was then able to manage Roku-Stick-Kids from daniels-iphone along with the other devices TCL-TV-MBR and Roku-Stick-LR. But then I lost pings to the timecapsule (192.168.0.177) from daniels-iphone and daniels-ipad (192.168.0.125). I have never been able to consitently ping Win10LT from any device on the network. WIth all the pings that are VERY sporatic, each and every device that I listed was pingable from the tp-link router from the ping diagnostics.
I hope that this gives you enough insite into my network and what the problems are. If you need further information please dont hesitate to ask.

As for the two static routes you configured on the AX11000, we think they are actually not necessary and you can remove it.
If you can no longer ping the Time Capsule after you rebooted the AX11000, can you confirm if the Time Capsule is still connected to the AX11000 successfully? We guess it may lose the connection after the reboot, you may confirm or try to reboot it as well.

Sorry for the delay in responding its been kind of busy. First off about the static-routes that I have added to the tp-link router, without those, the only way to get to the internet for either dans-imac or win10lt is thru the wifi interface. Since each dans-imac and win10lt have that backup gig ethernet connection that terminates on the timecapsule so I need the routes to be able to use this as the "backup" connection if for some reason wifi drops out for either the devices.
One thing that I have done for testing is to ping various devices from other devices on the network. What I have found is the following:
1. I can ping each and every device from the tp-link router ping diagnostic with ZERO packet loss.
2. Each device whether it can ping another device on the local LAN or not, can reach the internet with no problems.
3. Each device whether it can ping another device on the local LAN or not, can always ping the tp-link router default-gateway of 192.168.0.1
4. I understand that with the new wifi protocols, it can turn down the wifi link in essence putting the remote device wifi interface to "sleep" waiting for some kind of a "wakup" packet, and I have seen where the devices will take a couple of pings before they start to respond which I am figuring is the remote wifi device coming back online.
5. The devices that will or wont ping each other are completely random, I can find to correlation to devices that can or cant ping each other because sometimes they can and sometimes they cant.
6. The one thing that is COMMON among all the network related issues that I am having is that if I reboot the tp-link router my ping or lack of communications between devices on the lan seems to clear up for at least some time, and if they start again, I can usually just reboot the tp-link router and it things clear up for a time.
I am not really sure what else that I can do to attempt to alleviate these issues, but if there are any other troubleshooting steps that you would like me to perform, please let me know.

I'm having the same exact issue that you're experiencing. This started nearly two weeks ago and the only thing that temporarily resolved this issue is rebooting the router, which only gives you a temp fix lasting only 3 hours.
