Slow 5G Wifi upload speed
Hello,
I've recently purchased the Archer AX6000 and I've noticed that my 5G wifi upload speed can never match the download speed. I've tested this across multiple devices, one of which has an AX wifi adapter.
If I do a wired speed tests I get 550/550. On my AX device I always get my max download speed but my upload speed always varies. Sometimes it is in the 300 and other times in the 400. I can almost never get over 500. On another device where the max download speed is 120, i always get upload speeds of 100.
I never have any issues with download speeds, only upload. I haven't activate any feature like QOS.
Is the router throttling the wifi upload speed? Or is it normal that wifi upload speeds can never match download speeds?
Thank you

Hello,
Do you mean you have 550/550Mbps when connected to your ISP modem directly with an Ethernet cable? May I know who is your ISP and what is the model number of the modem?
Generally, it is normal that the upload speed and the download speed are asymmetric and the upload speed is slower than the download as the band for upload is much smaller than the band for download. ISPs are considering two things: there is a lot more demand for downstream bandwidth than for upstream, and there is a technical limit to how much traffic their lines can carry.
But we can still check the below info and see if we can improve it:
1. Simplify your network layout and only leave your ISP modem and the AX6000, connect them in this way: ISP modem--AX6000--PC, leave all other clients disconnected, then run speedtest app on the PC 3 times, please confirm what is the download and upload speed you can get.
2. Connect the ISP modem--AX6000)))(((laptop or phone, leave all other clients disconnected, then run the speedtest app 3 times again and confirm what is the download and upload speed. Please also confirm what is the wireless link speed between the laptop and the AX6000: https://www.tp-link.com/support/faq/2265/.
3. When performing all these tests, make sure you don’t have background programs hogging too much bandwidth. Syncing photos, backing things up to the cloud, file sharing, and other applications can make your upstream connection pretty crowded.
4. Check your speeds with different devices. If one is significantly faster, you might have a hardware or software issue with your device rather than an Internet problem.
Any updates, just let us know. Good day.

I have no issues with my wired speeds while connected to the ax6000, results are always around 545 / 545. Same results with the speed test tool in the ax6000.
I have made sure that only the tested device was connected. How would you interpret the following results?
For the desktop test with AX network adapter. Link speed is 1.2G.
DL / UL
544.58 / 441.35
545.19 / 463.74
542.10 / 478.91
Cell#1, Link speed 433Mbps
DL / UL
176 / 221
205 / 223
170 / 201
Cell#2, Link speed 780 Mbps
DL / UL
484 / 160
485 / 177
486 / 176
