S4 doesn't have WPA2-PSK [AES] security protocol.
Recently I set up an DECO S4 mesh network and was pleased that it improved the wifi coverage at our home. But last night I installed Apple's IOS14 beta on my phone. When I checked the wifi connection in settings there was a notice that the setting wasn't secure -- that I should change the router to the WPA2-PSK [AES] protocol. Problem is that I can't do that because the S4 doesn't have that protocol available. It is my understanding that several mesh tp-link networks don't have WPA2-PSK [AES]. The six-year-old router the the S4 network replaced has the WPA2-PSK [AES] protocol. Now more wifi equipment is using it. The S4 system isn't brand new on the market but it is certainly new enough that it should have the WPA2-PSK [AES] protocol. Hopefully there will be a firmware update to address this problem.

Hello,
Thank you for sharing your opinion and valued suggestions.
This feature request of changing wireless security on the Deco network has been forwarded to the developers with the highest priority and it will be added in the future firmware. Please keep an eye on the Deco app or on the TP-Link official website as we will update the information once there are any updates.
At the current stage, however, we cannot provide an exact ETA to our customers as the developers need to evaluate the feasibility to add new features and do round and round tests to ensure its performance.
Thanks a lot for your cooperation and understanding. Have a nice day.

@TP-Link, now that Apple has upgraded to the more secure WPA2 (AES) protocol, will you add that to the AC4000 router firmware update? If so, when?

Hi I recently upgraded to the new official firmware 1.4.9 Build 20200924 Rel. 60170 for my Deco M5s and among the update notes it says upgraded security to WPA2-AES as well as giving an option to choose your own security.
The good thing is my network settings on my iPhone no longer reports weak security, but the bad thing is I cannot find anywhere the security option that the notes say I can change.
I checked 192.168.1.1 when on my LAN as well as the Deco app itself and no mention at all about security.
Can the folks at TP-Link tell me where to find these settings? Additionally it's not listed in summary of the network settings so was this issue ever really resolved?

Hi @smigs, thanks for asking.
Please ensure you are running the latest Deco app, try to tap the SSID or the password dialog box, then you will be able to get the security options.
