Deco M9 Plus New firmware just released end of July 2020 - 1.4.2 BUILD 20200725 REL. 65637
Hi
I recently upgraded to 1.4.2 BUILD 20200725 REL. 65637 on 3 Deco M9 Plus units inside my house via Deco apps.... will test the performance sometime this week and let you all know. I just wondering what is the new change for this f/w ? I tried to look everywhere for the f/w logs but could not find it. Anyone have the same concern about this ?

Hello,
Thanks a lot for your kind suggestions and we will make it more clear in the Release Notes in future updates.
As per the latest 1.4.2 version, it actually improves the mesh system stability and enhanced security.
Good day.

@Ken12 Hi, I got the same message in my deco app. The strange thing is that i cannot find information about it. Did you installed it and found anything special/new?
I will wait with installing it before i know what it is for

@Ken12 Just upgraded, so far so good. I'm hoping it resolves some of my dropout issues

Like some of the others I upgraded to 1.4.2 as soon as I got the notice in the app. Upgrade was smooth as silk and completely automatic; far less cumbersome than the upgrade tool. All 3 units were done at the same time in less than 10 minutes (the way it should be). Everything is running fine since the upgrade.
I was not having stability issues with 1.4.0 so no difference there. I also looked closely through both the app and online web access and found NO changes in features or functionality from 1.4.0- not surprising for an update so soon after the previous one but still mildly disappointing.

It would be useful if Tp-Link updates the changelog with details of what has changed.
The generic "improved performance, fixed bugs, security" statement does not give much surety for people to upgrade these days since many have been let down by more bugs after updating their devices, software, OS (and some updates are cumbersome to rollback)
