Hi there,

I am currently experiencing problems using my TP-Link as a Range Extender.

I have a full connection on both my phone and my Xbox, but the laptop I used to set it up with only seems to work when I have the Ethernet cable connected to it, the second I disconnect it, I get an explanation mark over my signal strength and no connection, but other things still work.

I have tried rebooting the main modem, upgrading the firmware and reconfiguring but nothing seems to fix it.

I hope somebody can help me with this problem.

do you mean TL-WA701ND work as repeater?
If it does, just connect your PC to it and try internet.
If the cable connection is working, it means repeater is been configured successfully.
try to change wireless channel on your main router ~ it will change automatically on TL-WA701ND.
