Model: Deco M5
Hardware Version: V1
Firmware Version: 1.4.4

I am using a TP-Link Deco M5 mesh router. When setting up my smart plugs (HS105) and smart bulbs (KL130), the devices see 3 wifi networks. It seems that it treats each Deco as a separate network. (See image.)

How do I fix this? If this can't be fixed, is there any way where I can manually choose which "wifi" or Deco the smart devices connect to?

Thank you!

Hello,

The issue you reported is because the smart plug and smart bulb connect to a wireless network depending on its MAC address, and each Deco M5 has its own MAC even though they are sharing the same SSID when in the mesh network.

If you are not sure which SSID is the nearest one, you may try to unplug the other two Deco M5s and only leave the one near the smart plug or bulb, and add them to that Deco network.

May it help.
