@Sematwir

Hello, thanks for asking.

Actually, the basic functions and features are almost the same on both X60 V1 and V2.

Good days.

@Sematwir

I ordered two 3-piece x60 systems (both were backordered at the time).  The first to arrive was a v1, the second was a v2.  I need to know if there are ANY hardware changes or other advantages between the two systems.  I will only keep one of the systems and return the other.  I want ot keep the best system.  Otherwise, I will return them both.

Regards.

@MajorBulldog I had a similar situation where I ordered two sets of Deco X60 systems. The first set was v1 and the second set came as v2. Now I am having challenges with performing firmware updates. According to tp-link support, the firmware updates will remain on different versions due to the hardware. As of October 23rd, 2020 v1 firmware version is at 1.0.1 build 20200611 Rel. 64412.  In contrast, v2 X60 is running firmware v 1.2.5 build 20200709 Rel. 46606.  When I performed a firmware update using the Deco app, it does not synchronize. I have also noticed worse stability with v1 hardware. I attempted to do another firmware update recently and left my mesh WiFi system unusable. I ended up resetting all Deco devices back to original settings and will not update firmware just to keep it somewhat working. v1 hardware sometimes will disconnect for no reason and reconnect. The level 1 and level 2 support engineers were no help in trying to isolate the problem after weeks of ongoing discussions. Good luck with your network set-up.

I Bought 2 from Costco, i received V2 and setup then i bought the second, decided today to set it up.   I would not connect to the internet.  nor Pair with my First set.

I noticed the version of the second one was V1.6.

It's going back to Costco.  Going to see if i can get a V2.

I have just received a 3 pack of V1 X60's. This is nearly 3 months after buying a single unit which was a V2

I can confirm (after initial worries and reading posts here) they ALL run the same firmware.

@TP-Link_Deco

Erlier TPlink said that there was no hardware changes between V1 and V2. Why is there two kind of firmware then, one to V1 and one to V2?

V1 => Deco X60(EU)_V1_1.5.0_210121

V2=> Deco X60(EU)_V2_1.5.1_20210204

I agree. For a short while mine sat at the same revision, since the last updates now they are not = there must be some differences!

I want to post my similar predicament with the Deco X20: https://community.tp-link.com/us/home/forum/topic/270448?page=1 The lack of information about the differences in the hardware and/or firmware features, and the lack of features is stunning.
