As other users mentioned, I regret so much buying these devices... this is basic functionality in 2024

Just bought 6 Deco X50-POE to make my home wifi great again, and these AP-s are joke. Seamless roaming maybe works only 5G only mode, but not so great. Basic vlan setup is missing at all. I have 3 internet connections, lots of IoT devices and separete guest network that will use different gateway for guests. I like to isolate 3-4 different ssid-s each other and use different local subnets for that. Now i must send these AP-s back and buy something that will do the job.

  @Loix Currently working to better segregate and improve network security in household with 60+ devices (and expect to grow).  With the mixed IoT vendor security postures, having the ability to setup multiple vlans and associated rules seems prudent.

At this point, I am not planning on any more TP- Link access points (just returned to expensive x75 pro units) and started a new buildout with a vendor that prioritizes security in their switch, firewall and wireless products.

i would love to continue with TP-Link but the lack of strong vLAN and similar security segregation capabilities is a deal breaker. 
 

Please make the upgrades and at least provide an update in this thread.

  @TP-Link I will pile on to this request echoing many of the other comments. I am very happy with the deco's than I purchased, but it would be useful to have more flexibility in segmenting my home network than they provide by default in AP mode.

Any serious wifi AP requires this feature. And @tp-link doesn't even understand why? Facepalm worthy.
